Jaiden Gladney is dynamic Point/Shooting Guard in the Class of 2024 from Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia. Jaiden is a humble, yet fiery and confident player with a true “Team Captain” work ethic and mental approach to the game that are unmatched and bleed through to his teammates. He is a natural and pure scorer from all three levels, scoring over 1,100+ points for his High School career. Combining his amazing court vision, great ability to handle the ball with his high basketball IQ, he wants to have the ball in his hands when the pressure is on.
Versatile and technical defender that can guard on or off the ball. His athleticism, speed and stamina allow him to disrupt passing lanes and apply pressure the entire game. Good rebounder that is always getting to the ball.
Jaiden will be a valued student-athlete at the next level both in the classroom and on the court.

Jaiden been a 4-year starter, scored over 1200 career point and has been instrumental in 3 State Tournament appearance most in school history. Jaiden has shown not only the ability to score but has shown tremendous growth by being named team Captain his Senior year. Jaiden is a strong academic performer and has grown into a leader on the court.
Jaiden will be an asset to any collegiate program and will demonstrate a strong work ethic, dedication to the sport and the ability to adapt to any adverse situation.

Personal Message
I am a six-foot basketball shooting guard and point guard, currently in my senior year at Jefferson High School (JHS) in Shenandoah Junction, WV. Even though I would give my right arm (and left one if necessary) to play basketball I truly want to attend this school as it would be a goal accomplished with or without basketball. However, that said, I am a highly coachable, flexible, adaptable, and extremely dependable basketball team player and my coaches, other coaches and all rankings have consistently praised me on my ball handling, passing, and shooting skills. As team captain I currently average 17.9 points, 1.5 steals, 3.9 rebounds per match. I am ranked the 3rd best 3-point shooter and 3rd best Point Guard in the State of West Virginia. Additionally, on January 2, 2024, I hit 1,000 points being the only varsity player at JHS in 2023/2024 to mark that achievement. I’ve been named player of the game nine times so far this season.
In my first three seasons at JHS, we competed in the West Virginia Secondary School Activities Commission (WVSSAC) Boys State Championship. We were the Eastern Panhandle Athletic Conference (EPAC) Regional Champions in 2023. In my sophomore year, we were undefeated, and I was honored to receive player of the year. I enhanced my skills against a new subset of competition by joining TeamTakeover 17U AAU National Team in my sophomore and junior years.
Enough about basketball though, my eyes have been on attending I believe I would be a great fit for your school and especially for me, academically and personally.
