Jordyn Hamlin is an extremely talented Class of 2024 OH / Libero / DS from Southern Regional High school in Manahawkin, New Jersey. 6 rotation player who also plays club volleyball for the Jersey Juniors Volleyball club.
USA Regional Volleyball All Star Team Selection (2023), First Team All State, All Conference, All Group and All Division Selections in 2022. Voted "Conference Player of the Year" as well as "Coaches Association Player of the Year" as a Junior.
Jordyn is a high energy, strong work ethic player that plays much bigger than her 5 ft 7 frame. She is explosive and quick. Extremely Versatile--6 rotation player with the skills to be a L/DS at the next level but also has the ability to jump and swing as an undersized OH. She is comfortable playing on the court anywhere a coach sees fit. Ultimate competitor.
Jordyn has a 9 ft 6 approach touch, showcases a fast approach, good hang time, and strong swing. Her footwork is quick in all directions of movement. STUD defensive player! She plays her best during fast paced games. She has a quick reaction time and is fast on her feet. She does a great job of staying on her feet and running through off speed shots. She has a solid platform and gets behind the ball consistently with a good read. Her ability to get to balls and dig to keep them alive is extremely impressive.
Extremely smart player with an understanding of where she needs to be on the court at all times. Her passing skills are elevated and she does a great job of getting the ball to her setter.
Jordyn is a kid that you are going to find in the gym any chance she has. Strength training, agility, conditioning and specific skills training are all part of her weekly workout regimen.
She is always going to bring effort and intensity to the court. Jordyn is a pleasure to be around and brings out the best in her teammates! She is a natural leader and a team captain.
Jordyn Hamlin is an honor roll student and maintains a 3.4 GPA; she would certainly be an asset for many collegiate volleyball programs.

High School Coach Evaluation:
"As the head Varsity Volleyball Coach at Southern Regional High School, I have had the privilege of Coaching Jordyn Hamlin for the past 3 seasons. Jordan has also either attended many volleyball camps that I run or has served as part of my staff for numerous camps for younger players. My experience of having Jordyn as a player at Southern and as an instructor for our camps have caused me to view Jordyn as incredible volleyball player and also a positive role model for her teammates and for younger participants at camp.
Last season as a Junior earned 1st Team All State Honors in New Jersey. This well-deserved accomplishment begins to tell the story of how good she is on the volleyball court. In my 23 years of coaching high school volleyball in New Jersey, Jordyn is one of the most talented players that I have seen play at the high school level. Her skill level begins with her athleticism. Her jumping ability has made her one of the top outside hitters in the state. She hammered home 283 kills in 2022 and is on her way to becoming Southern Regional's career kill leader. Along with her outstanding vertical leap is an incredible arm swing which allows her to power the ball down and through an opponent's defense.
As our number one option on offense, Jordyn also takes on a huge role as one of our best passers in service receive. Jordyn's athleticism allows her to get low and move quickly and smoothly into position to handle even the most difficult of serves. That same athleticism makes Jordyn one of the best defensive players that I have ever coached. Her ability read the opposition and react to an opponent's shot is remarkable. In addition to all of the skills already mentioned, Jordyn is an effective server as well. She utilizes a tough jump float serve with precision and accuracy.
Jordyn's physical volleyball skill set is one that any coach would desire. However, as I have experienced her mental toughness and her positive attitude might be her finest qualities. Jordyn's positive demeanor on and off the court has helped foster great team chemistry for our teams at Southern. Always lifting up her teammates after each and every play is one of her hallmarks. Her leadership is evident in the gym whether it be a game or a practice day. She is the hardest worker in the gym every single day. Jordyn's continued growth as a playerstems from her work ethic and her enthusiasm. I have never had to tell Jordyn taht she needs to work harder.
I hope this evaluation/recommendation not only sheds a light on Jordyn's ability as a volleyball player, but also is an indication of who Jordyn is as a person. Without question, I am giving her the highest of praise and recommendation for anyone considering Jordyn to a be a part of their collegiate volleyball program."

Personal Message
Hi, my name is Jordyn Hamlin. I am a student athlete who attends Southern Regional High School in New Jersey. During my lifetime, I have participated in a number of different sports including gymnastics (back to back individual all around NJ state champion), track and field (all county 2nd place long jumper and 1st place 4x1 relay team member, all conference 3rd place 100M sprinter); as well as, volleyball my passion.
Although I developed a love for each of those sports, I fell in love with the game of volleyball when I first stepped on the court in 7th grade. The passion and dedication I have for volleyball has enabled me to be a solid contributor to my high school team as a starting 6 rotation hitter/DS since my freshman year; as well as, during my 2 years of club volleyball. I look forward to continuing to improve on my skills over the next year of my high school and club career.
I pride myself on my positive leadership skills and coach-ability. My dream is to play collegiate volleyball, competing with the highest level athletes. I thrive for competition, am eager to take on a challenge, and willing to put in extra effort to achieve my goals.
