Octavia Prado is a talented class of 2026 shooting guard that attends Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. Good size at 5'7,and has an excellent attitude and work ethic. Trains year round. Plays AAU basketball for District One Basketball Academy (Pennsylvania)
2 year HS Varsity starter as a freshman & sophomore, 2nd Team All Conference Selection and voted Team Defensive MVP for Delaware Military Academy in 2023 and Team Offensive MVP in 2024.
Octavia can flat out shoot the ball. Showcases great form and mechanics, excellent follow through. Quick release. Very high percentage mid range and 3 point shooter. Solid ball handler. Sees the floor. Has a high basketball IQ and plays the game the right way. Definitely a team player.
Season averages of 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game, while shooting 81% from the free throw line and 32% from behind the arc.
*Excellent on ball defender (Voted Team Defensive MVP for 2022-23 HS season).
With 3 more years to physically mature and to further develop her overall game; Octavia showcases many of the physical and athletic traits college coaches would want to see in a young prospect and projects as a solid class of 2026 collegiate prospect. She is certainly an athlete that you want to have on your recruiting radar in the 2026 class.
Academically, Octavia is an Honor roll student and maintains a 3.4 GPA.

Personal Message
My name is Octavia Prado and I live in Wilmington, DE. I am currently attending Delaware Military Academy and will graduate in 2026. I play AAU for District One Basketball Academy in West Chester, PA and have been with this program since the 3rd grade.
Since I started playing basketball it has always been my goal to play at the collegiate level. I am confident I have what it takes not only with my current skillset but also because of my drive and determination to be better and get better. I love being a part of a team and possess the leadership skills to encourage and help others be successful. I am a positive person, passionate, and motivated. I am a high-impact player producing results in all facets of the game and would be a valuable addition both academically and athletically.
