Riley Burroughs is a talented class of 2023 Catcher / Utility that attends Red Lion Christian Academy in Bear, Delaware. Versatile and has a very high baseball IQ. Solid, Athletic frame. Primary position is catcher but also is a very solid middle infielder. 3 year varsity starter, All State and All Conference recognition as a sophomore & junior. Was named team MVP for 2020-21 season at St. Andrews High School.
Plays travel ball for the Maryland Baseball Club organization (17U Showcase team) Very strong academically and maintains a 4.3 GPA. Extremely coachable high character kid, great work ethic and very competitive. Natural leader.

Solid Hitting/Power, athletic set up, square stride, direct bat path, good bat speed, and hits from a firm front side. Sprays the ball well to all fields and is very patient at the plate.
Physically still growing and just starting to develop his strength through sport specific training and weight lifting program. Trains year round.
Riley is a solid collegiate level talent and will certainly be an asset for many college level baseball programs.

Personal Message
My name is Riley Burroughs and I'm a class of 2023 catcher that attends Red Lion Christian Academy in Bear, Delaware. I have a passion and love for the sport of baseball and have dreams of playing at the highest of levels. I have been playing competitive travel baseball for many years and have been the starting varsity catcher for my high school team since my freshman year. I also play shortstop,3rd Base and 2nd Base. Last year as a sophomore I was named First Team All Conference (catcher) and Honorable mention All State (Catcher). I was also selected for the Delaware Carpenters Cup (North Team). I would like to be added to your 2023 prospect list and be evaluated and considered for a future spot with your baseball program.
I am a hardworker, who trains and plays year round. At age 16, I am 5'9 and 150lbs. I currently have a consistent pop time of 1.95 - 2.05 and my 60 Time is 7.26 seconds. Academically I maintain a 4.3 GPA and am an honor roll student.
I play travel ball for the Maryland Baseball Club and would hope that at some point your staff could evaluate me in person.
