Laney Noreika
Small Forward | Guard
Scouting Report
Laney Noreika is a very solid 2022 Forward/Guard that attends Big Springs High School in Newville, Pennsylvania. Great size and skill set. 6’1” long and athletic frame, excellent work ethic and a high basketball IQ. Collegiate level potential in both basketball and field hockey as she is an elite field Hockey player with a high motor, very good speed, and extreme toughness.
On the court Laney really excels in high-lo sets. She is a very skilled passer and knows how to put the ball right where are teammates need it, putting them in the position to finish plays. She’s also really good and being the recipient of the same pass. Laney finishes around the basket efficiently with both hands and an array of up and under and jump hook moves. Laney also works very well on the perimeter while facing up to the basket. She really takes advantage of her aggressive nature and athleticism by putting the ball on the floor and attacking the basket; often ending with basket, and “and 1”
situation, or a trip to the free throw line.
What I love most is that she never takes a play off. Laney is constantly moving and always attacking the basket to start the fast break for her team or giving her team a second shot attempt. That high motor is also visible on defense. She can guard almost every position on the floor as well.
Laney’s stats and all star accolades sense freshman year are only scratching the surface as to what this kid can do.
Academically Laney is a high honor’s student and maintains a 4.12 GPA. She displays the necessary qualities and athletic ability to be a solid player at the collegiate level. She would be an asset for many college basketball programs.
