Marlena Gordon is a solid 2020 Guard/Forward that attends Middletown High School in Middletown, Delaware. 3 Year varsity starter, team captain and solid overall athlete. Good size and length at 5'10/ 150lbs. Marlena has long arms, is athletic and has played the 2-5 positions. Displays a very sound skill set, can score the ball inside and outside, great passer. See's the floor very well and plays the game the right way. Consistent jump shot and finishes well in the paint. Very strong Mid range game. Knows how to get to her spots on the floor and has a high basketball IQ. Size and athleticism allow her to be a great rebounder on both ends of the floor. Averaged a double as a junior (16 pts, 12 rebounds per game). Very solid defender; good lateral movement, quickness and active hands.
Team captain that leads vocally and by example. Definitely a high character kid with an amazing attitude, work ethic and is self-motivated. Academically Marlena is an honor roll student and maintains a 3.67 GPA. She displays the necessary qualities and athletic ability to be a solid player at the collegiate level. She would be an asset for many college basketball programs.
