Jamir Shockley is a solid class of 2019 track & field prospect that attends Woodstown High School in Woodstown, New Jersey. Jamir specializes in the hurdles and sprint events. Long, 6'3 frame. Very good athlete who also plays football. Hard worker, trains year round. 2018 NJ Tri-County champ in 55m hurdles, Tri County Champ 4X400m relay, 3rd place finishes in the 400m sprint and 400m hurdles events. Current personal best times of 56.05 in the 400M Hurdles, 23.27 in the 200M dash and 50.75 in the 400M dash. Should have lower PR's in all of those events over the course of his senior season. Has only been running for 3 years so has great potential and upside with college level coaching and training. Very coachable, excellent attitude and a very high character kid. Displays great leadership qualities and is the Team Captain for his high school program. Was voted Woodstown High school track & field Team MVP his junior year(2018).
Jamir maintains a 2.85 GPA and has a 960 SAT. He would be a very solid addition for many college track and field programs.

Personal Message
My name is Jamir Shockley, a Class of 2019 athlete from Woodstown High School in New Jersey. Since I was young I've always had huge aspirations of being a collegiate athlete. I believe my passion and accomplishments for Track & Field, are deserving of an opportunity to be considered for recruitment at the college level. I specialize in the sprints and hurdle events. Heading into my senior season I have current personal records of 56.05 in the 400M Hurdles, 23.27 in the 200M dash and 50.75 in the 400M dash. I haven't scratched the surface of my full potential and know that I will set new PR's in all of my events this year.
I'm extremely driven, willing to do anything to provide for my coach and my team. I'm mentally sound, have great work ethic, am very coachable and with the help of a great program I believe I'll be able to achieve great things. Being surrounded by teammates that possess the same goals as me will only strengthen my potential as a student athlete.
