Ajala Elmore is a solid class of 2020 Catcher/Utility prospect that attends Wilmington Friends High School in Wilmington, Delaware. Very athletic with great speed, can hit for power and has solid arm strength with 2.14 pop time as a catcher. Versatility and athleticsim enables her to be effective in many areas of the game. Overhand velocity was clocked at 60pmh as a sophomore and had a sub 3.0 60time. Will get full updated testing times this fall. Big game player, great contact hitter who is very patient at the plate. Quick hands. Sprays the ball well to all fields. Speed allows her to take extra bases and is always a threat to steal. Very solid catcher behind the plate as well. Great communication, blocks well, high softball IQ. Good arm strength. Excellent leader who leads vocally and by example. Very positive and contagious personality.
At 5'2 and 110lbs she is not the going to blow you away with an eye test physically but whatever she lacks in size she makes up for with true grit, heart, athleticism and competitiveness. Has been playing competitive travel ball for over 7 years and always has played up in age groups. This past year as sophomore she played with the 18U team with her travel program (PA Fusion Fastpitch). Her high school does not offer softball so she has always played travel. 4 sport athlete who also excels in varsity field hockey, lacrosse and basketball. High character kid, amazing work ethic and competitive in every thing that she does academically and athletically. Awesome family and support system.
Ajala maintains a 3.75GPA while taking honors and AP courses at a very demanding high academic private school. She currently has a 23 ACT. She projects as solid 2020 softball prospect and would be an asset for many college programs. Definitely a 2020 athlete you would want to track and evaluate in person.

Athletics have been a huge part of my life since before I can remember. Softball was the first team sport I ever played. It has helped mold me into the person I am today. I've learned the following skills playing softball: communication, teamwork, and grit. These skills also helped me outside of the game. I pride myself on being a very coachable player. I think it is important to take what a coach says and immediately make a change to further improve my abilities which ultimately help my team. I am a player that will always do my part to help achieve the team's’ goals. I have wanted to play softball at the collegiate level my entire life. If I’m given that opportunity, I know that I will be mentally and physically prepared to strive in that environment.
