Thomas "LT" Messick is a solid class of 2023 DB/WR/ATH that attends Cape Henlopen HS in Lewes, Delaware. Versatile athlete who is an impact player on both sides of the ball. 4.52 forty yard dash speed.
Dual sport athlete (Track): 11.2 -100m / 23.14 - 200m
Highly competitive and an extremely high character kid. Great work ethic! LT has a workers attitude and absolutely loves the game. Extremely coachable. Varsity starter since his sophomore year and was named 2nd Team All State and 1st Team All Conference his junior year (2021). Offensively showcases solid route running abilities, excellent hands and great speed that allows him to stretch the field for his offense. Tough for opposing corners to defend him in man to man coverage. Dangerous in space and does an excellent job creating big plays with his run-after the catch ability. Has been featured outside or inside as a slot WR, but also does well with jet sweeps, rocket screens, or lined up in the backfield as a RB. Big play threat every time he touches the ball.
Defensively LT displays good ball skills and athleticism. Solid in coverage, physical and tackles well. Great feet and closing speed. Great range and play recognition from his safety position. Vocal leader in the secondary and a ball hawk. Could be a solid contributor on either side of the ball at the collegiate level.
LT is an Honor Roll student who maintains a 3.1 GPA; he would be an asset for many college football programs. Definitely a 2023 athlete to add to your recruiting boards.

Personal Message
My name is Thomas Messick, but you can call me LT. I’m class of 2023 and attend the Cape Henlopen high school in Lewes Delaware, where I play Defensive Back, Wide Receiver, and Running Back. I’m also a return specialist as well.
I would love to be given the opportunity to play at the collegiate level at any position. Wherever I’m needed to help the team win is where I'm willing to play. It’s always been my dream to go a school and fulfill my desires of becoming a better player, person, and better leader for those around me and those that look up to me.
Academically I’m a very well rounded student and maintain 3.1 cumulative GPA.
I would love to be able to be a teacher and or football coach later in life. I would love to help kids and athletes strive to become a better person day by day and do my best to steer kids and athletes onto the right path.
