Scouting Report

Timothy Yancy III is a 2025 Running Back/Defensive Back prospect from Smyrna High School in Smyrna, Delaware. At 5’7" 160lbs I want to introduce you to a hardworking, quick, physical football athlete. Timothy is a 2025 athlete that can play at the RB, WR, Slot, DB, and special team positions. This 5 ft. 7 in tall, 160 pound young man has quick feet and exceptional hands. He has a 3.6 GPA and will sit for the SAT/ACT soon. He ran a 4.9 sec 5-10-5 drill at the First State Preps Showcase and has 4.8 speed in 40 at age 15. He has great vision of the field and understands how to find the gap and plant his foot in the ground and get through it. He has smooth hands and can catch the difficult balls and make plays. He is a "blue collar" athlete and simply knows how to work and get better. He runs crisp routes and knows how to find open spots on the field. He has just began to develop himself in the weight room and will be that much more improved with the gains. Great personality and very coachable. A high character kid who leads by example. With continued growth and running back development, Timothy has all the ability to be a solid collegiate prospect. He will be fun to watch continue to develop over the next few years.

Personal Message

Playing college football has always been one of my dreams. Growing up I learned the importance of hard work and discipline in the classroom and on the football field from both of my parents. In addition, both my grandfather and father played football which has fueled my desire to play football in college. They both taught me the game of football and its values as well as traditions. I want to walk in that tradition of playing football by continuing at the college level.

My faith has also taught me valuable lessons to use on the football field. I am a coachable, humble team player who works hard and is dedicated to being a great student athlete on the field and in the classroom. As a running back, I have strength, awareness, speed, agility and vision to be a successful team player. Football is a game that I love very much and it is an honor and privilege to play this game with other student athletes and coaches.

In my freshman year working hard afforded me the opportunity play on the varsity football team. Our team won the Class 3A District Championship and made it to the State Championship game. Even though we did not win I learned to never give up and to work hard to the end. My teammates and coaches also shared valuable lessons throughout the season. Everything I learned will be carried into the next season to work even harder.

The opportunity to play college football is a dream of mine and I am very excited to work for the opportunity. In addition, I am thankful for my family, coaches and teammates that have helped me get to this point as an athlete. My Courage, skill, passion of football are all qualities I hope to bring to your college or university football program.

Sincerely,

Timothy Yancy III
