Jayden Taylor is a talented class of 2025 Forward/Guard that attends the Sanford School in Hockessin, Delaware. At age 16, Jayden has great size at 6'7 and is still growing. Great overall skill set, athletic and is a playmaker on the floor. Varsity performer as a true freshman. Honor roll student; maintains a 3.0 GPA.
Versatile, has played the 3,4 and 5 positions effectively. High basketball IQ, 2 way player, can defend 1 thru 5. Can score at all 3 levels. Has only been playing organized ball at the AAU level for 3 years. Has grown tremendously over that time frame...very huge upside and potential.
Great size and athleticism. Long wing span, skilled. Good ball handler, solid defender and excellent rebounder. Length creates problems on both ends of the floor for his opponents. Can stretch the floor offensively, consistent outside shot and mid range. See's the floor well and is a solid passer. Plays the game the right way and is unselfish. Drives and finishes well with either hand. Can finish at or above the rim. Will be an impact player for the Sanford Basketball program for years to come.
Excellent work ethic. Coaches had nothing but positive remarks in regards to his demeanor, ability to be coached, skill set and potential. Currently plays for one of the best AAU programs in the region WeR1 (Newark, DE).
Jayden Taylor has all of the attributes you would look for in a young prospect with high level potential. He possesses the character, work ethic, physical tools and skill to be a very solid collegiate level prospect and with continued growth and development he should be an asset for many college basketball programs. Mid to High level potential.

Personal Message
Prospective Coaches,
Hi, my name is Jayden Taylor and I am a class of 2025 basketball prospect. I attend Sanford School in Hockessin, DE. I am 6’7 and can play the 3, 4 or 5 position on the court.
I have been in the gym and around the game since I was born. My mother runs a successful girls AAU program so when I was younger, I was on the court and bench with her every weekend. I come from a long line of basketball players. My father was one of the best players in the state in his day and went on to play at Valdosta State University in Georgia while my mother was a 3 sport athlete in high school and also played basketball in college at Millersville University. My grandfather coached girl’s high school basketball for 25 years and is a University of Delaware men’s basketball alumni along with my Uncle Stan Waterman who also played at Delaware and is now the head coach of a Div. 1 college program. Almost all of my Aunts & Uncles have played in college as well, Div. 1 & 2. So, as you can imagine, this culture has been infused in to me. But it wasn’t until recently that I really got the bug for myself. My family never pushed me to love this game, I fell in love all on my own!
I have set goals for myself since fully devoting myself to my ultimate dream of playing college basketball. I know that I the daily work I put in on the court, in the weight room & in the classroom, will ultimately determine my path. I feel like my strengths are that I am long, athletic, coachable, willing to put myself in uncomfortable situations in order to grow and willing to put in the work. Skill wise, I feel like I rebound well, finish around the basket and I’m working on dunking………I mean dunking everything in games!!
I bring an energy to every team I’ve been on and I enjoy every day I get to step on the court to compete.
