Scouting Report

Jalasia Hull is a dynamic 2023 combo guard that attends Scotland Campus Preparatory in Scotland, Pennsylvania. Jalasia stands a 5'9 / 130 lbs with an athletic build. Jalasia is a true athlete with natural strength, high level balance, agility, coordination and explosiveness.

Jalasia has been a 3 year varsity starter (two years and Harrisburg High School and one year at Steelton-HighSpire High School) in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Jalasia has transferred to the Scotland Campus for her senior year and then to complete a college preparatory year. This extra year is really what Jalasia needs to make her an elite level collegiate player. The extra coaching and experience, combined with her above average natural abilities will definitely catapult her game. She currently plays AAU basketball for Team Pennsylvania AAU in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Jalasia was a key player on their 2022 Showcase team. The team had a great career and saw many of the players commit to colleges at the D1, D2 and D3 levels. On this team Jalasia very often matched up against elite level competition on other teams and always rose to the occasion.

Very creative and crafty ball handler, attacks the basket and finishes with both hands and in traffic at a high level. Consistent outside shot, especially with one or two dribbles and pulling up for mid range shots. Great court vision and ability to make sharp passes to teammates in traffic when attacking the basket. Great foot speed and quickness.

Excellent defender on the ball and great at anticipating steals in the passing lanes and turning defense into easy offense in transition. Jalasia has the ability to pick up ball handlers 94 feet and turn them multiple times each possession, consistently keeping pressure on her opponent. She really has the ability to alter the game on both ends of the ball.

Jalasia plays with an edge that every coach dreams of having in a player. She never backs down and always comes to compete. Jalasia’s athleticism and ability to score in a variety of ways makes her very tough to guard. Jalasia is always in attack
mode but can effectively play both the point or shooting guard positions.

Jalasia is definitely a great two way player with a college ready game now. I can’t wait to see where she is after another two years of hard work and experience.

Academically Jalasia maintains a 2.5 GPA; she would be an asset for many college basketball programs.

Definitely an under the radar 2023 prospect that you should have on your radar if she isn't already!

Personal Message

Hello Coach,

My name is Jalasia Hull, and I am a class of 2023 Combo Guard from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I play AAU basketball for Team Pennsylvania 2022 Polly (showcase team). I attended Steelton High School and then Harrisburg High School, before deciding to attend college preparatory school. I now attend The Scotland Campus School in Scotland, Pennsylvania.

I began to play organize basketball after my 8th grade year of school due to encouragement by teachers and peers. It really was the best advice I ever received. Since then I have grown as a person and as a basketball player; and my love for the game of basketball has grown at the same time.

I play the game with heart and a winning attitude at all times. My goal is to be the best player and teammate I can be so I consistently challenge myself to work as hard as I can. I love learning the game and I will play any position or take on any role that my coaches need me to take on.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please consider me in your 2023 recruitment class.

Sincerely,

Jalasia Hull
