Clay Friend is a 2022 QB prospect from Caesar Rodney High in Camden Delaware At 5’11” and 185lbs Clay is an outstanding athlete. He plays the game the way coaches like it played! This kid is competitive, intense, smart, and is passionate about football. Has played quarterback and defensive back for his high school program and projects at the collegiate level as a solid defensive back or ATH. Good ball skills, quick feet and a very solid tackler. High football IQ. Solid in man to man or zone coverages and is not afraid to be come up and tackle in run support.
He is a natural leader on the field and has the respect of his team because of his work ethic. A high character kid who leads by example. Academically he currently carries a 3.7 GPA. Clay is a prospect to keep an eye on in the 2022 class and would be an asset to many college football programs.

Personal Message
My name is Clay Friend and I will graduate from Caesar Rodney High School in Camden, DE in 2022. My core GPA is a 3.3 and I am a high honor roll student. My goal is to go to college and get my nursing degree. I would like to use my athletic talents to get me to the next level and achieve my goals in life. I play quarterback on offense and safety on defense. I opted out of the fall 2020 football season due to my mother high Covid risk due to her health conditions, but I have been training in preparation for the 2021 fall season where I expect to make an impact for my team on both sides of the ball. My strengths are athleticism, quick decision making and leadership and I have the personality that many players enjoy being around and playing with me.
Playing Football in college has been a dream of mine since my early years in pop warner. I am seeking out the school that not only fits my football expectations but also my academic and experience expectations as well. I am an extremely determined person due to some hardships I have gone through in my life and I use that motivation to be a hard worker and also help drive my teammates. I am just looking for an opportunity to showcase my abilities and prove that I have what it takes to be a successful QB at the next level.
