Personal Message

Hello Coach,

My name is Jazelle McIntyre and I’m a class of 2022 student athlete that attends Bishop Mcdevitt High School In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. I am a member of the Bishop Mcdevitt High School Crusaders Track and Field Team.

Academically, I am a distinguished honor roll student, maintaining a 3.3 gpa. I work just as hard on the field as I do in the classroom. I have a deep passion for throwing and it’s my dream to compete on the college level. I have been in the sport for 10 years, going all the way back to middle school, where I currently hold the Holy Name of Jesus girls discuss record (81 feet).

I lettered in Track and Field my freshman year at Bishop McDevitt and in 2019 I attended the 31st Annual Pan-Ram Invitational for Shotput, throwing a mark of 27.4. I have improved each year and my current PR’s are 29’6.25 (Shot put), and 84.1 (Discus) .

I work out 3 days a week at Signal 5 CrossFit and I have been for the last 3 years. I really believe that my workout routine is the key to peak performance. My sophomore season was taken away because of the pandemic and I’ve had worked extremely hard to make sure I was ready for this upcoming season.

I believe that Track and Field has helped me better myself physically, mentally and emotionally. I believe I have the work ethic and IQ to be a good collegiate level athlete. I am absolutely committed to do whatever it takes to get there.

I would truly appreciate you considering me in your 2022 recruitment class!

Sincerely,

Jazelle McIntyre
