Scouting Report

Davante Dennis is an excellent dual sport athlete (basketball/football) that attends Red Lion Area High School in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. Great size at 6'6 and 210 pounds. Tremendous talent that has high level Division 1 ability in both basketball and football. Honor roll student; maintains a 3.0 GPA.

Basketball Evaluation:
Athletic Small Forward / Wing. Very High basketball IQ, 2 way player, can defend 1 thru 5. Can score at all 3 levels. High level ability. Great size and athleticism. Long wing span, skilled. Good ball handler, great defender and rebounder. Solid overall offensive game. Can stretch the floor, consistent outside shot and mid range. See's the floor well and is a solid passer. Plays the game the right way and is unselfish. Drives and finishes well with either hand. Plays with great confidence. Can finish at or above the rim. As a junior averaged 17pts, 9 rebounds per game. First Team All Conference selection, Team Captain. Excellent work ethic. Coaches had nothing but positive remarks in regards to his demeanor, ability to be coached, skill set and potential. 8+ years playing competitive travel AAU basketball and currently plays for Central PA Elite 17U (Harrisburg, PA).

Football Evaluation:
First Team All League performer. 3 year varsity performer. Versatile, has played defensive end, linebacker, wide receiver and tight end. Defensive end is his primary position. Finished junior season in 2019 with 60 tackles, 16 TFL, and 8.5 sacks. Quick first step, great motor and very athletic. Tough blocking assignment due to his speed, strength and length. Can get up and down the line of scrimmage, solid tackler. His size and speed are his biggest assets. Leads vocally and by example. High character kid, well respected by his teammates and coaches. D1 level ability. Very SOLID junior year film. Ton of potential. Multiple D1 football offers.

Davante Dennis has the character, work ethic, physical tools and skill to be a very solid collegiate level player and would be an asset for many college programs.
