Personal Message

Prospective Coaches,

My name is Jon Alderman. I am 22 years old and currently a Sophomore attending Anne Arundel Community College, located in Arnold, MD. Anne Arundel is a D2 school in the MDJUCO ranks. My Freshman year I attended Ferrum College located in Ferrum, VA. Ferrum College is a division 3 school that competes in the ODAC conference. I left Ferrum after my freshman year when I tore my labrum (in my right hip) and had to take 6 months off of baseball to recover. With the severity of my injury, I could have easily given up my dream of playing high level baseball. After the initial wave of frustration my injury brought me, I became more determined than ever to do my absolute best to recover and come back even stronger. I wanted to get back on the field so bad, and that is exactly what I did. After a full year of recovering, I was back to being 100% healthy and continued to build my strength and speed along with my baseball skills. I am looking to help a team WIN some ball games and continue my education while playing the sport I love.

I haven’t recently tested my 60 time, arm velocity, or my exit velocity but coming out of high school I ran a 6.8 60 time. I had a 78mph velo from the outfield and 85mph velo off the tee. I can assure you those numbers have improved, being I am 3 years older and have been gaining muscle and strength in the gym. Since my hip injury, I have taken the gym and bullet proofing my body a lot more seriously.

I graduated high school in 2017 with an advanced diploma and a 3.4 GPA. I received my Associates degree from Northern Virginia Community College with a 2.8 GPA. I take a lot of pride in my academics, just as I do baseball.

Please contact me if you have any questions about my profile, I am more than happy to answer any questions. I look forward to speaking with you soon and helping your team win ball games.
