Griffin Santana is a solid 2020 combo guard that attends Delaware Military Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. Very impressive young man on and off the floor. Solid student- 3.0 GPA / 1120 SAT. Team Captain. Great size at 6'5. Long athletic frame, very solid overall skill set. Has played the 1-5 positions(versatile). Good ball handler, very high basketball IQ. Video showcases him being able to score the ball at all three levels. Finishes well in traffic, solid mid range jump shot. Griffin sees the floor very well and is a very solid passer. Plays the game the right way. Leads vocally and by example. Solid defender and rebounder. His long arms and wing span definitely are a plus for him as a defender.
In past seasons Griffin has had to play the 4 or 5 for his high school team due to him being one of the tallest kids on the team. This season his high school will utilize him as a guard and he will have a better opportunity to showcase that part of his game. He has always played guard for his AAU programs.
Griffin Santana has all of the characteristics that you would want in a prospective student athlete. Has the size, atheltic ability, leadership skills, basketball IQ and work ethic to be succesfull at the collegiate level. He would be an asset for many college basketball programs.

Prospective Coaches:
My name is Griffin Santana and I’m a 6’5’’ Combo Guard in the class of 2020. I am a cadet at Delaware Military Academy. Here we are taught what is known as The Three Ships: Scholarship, Leadership, and Citizenship. These principles have guided me from a struggling freshman to a distinguished honor roll student, who is enrolled in college courses. On the court, these ideals have helped me grow from a bench player to Varsity Team Captain. Through my service in the student government and through volunteer work with Special Olympics, I strive to give back to my communities and be an example of citizenship.
I am a competitor to the extreme and I have had to work for everything that I am today. I truly love the game of basketball and am ready to play at the next level. I want to apply myself physically and mentally to a college program not only to better myself, but to better the program and those around me.
