Jeffery Broughton is a very solid class of 2020 defensive back that attends Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, Delaware. 5'9" / 170 pounds. 4 year varsity performer/Team Captain/ All Conference Defensive Back. Great athlete, 4.5 speed, highly competitive, tremendous leader. Showcases great footwork and ball skills. Smooth peddle and fluid hips. Solid in coverage and an excellent tackler. Aggressive in run support/not afraid to get in the mix. Versatility and high football IQ allows him to play both the Cornerback and Safety positions extremely well. Good technique at corner, great range at safety. Difference maker at both positions. Very high character kid with a great work ethic, competitive drive and attitude. Leads vocally and by example. Well respected by his coaches and teammates. Honor Roll student that maintains a 3.0 GPA. Interested in studying Business in college.
Broughton Jr is an excellent 2020 defensive back prospect that has all of the necessary tools and ability to be a solid player at the collegiate level. Tough, competitive, self driven, and of the highest character; he would certainly be an asset for many college football programs.

My name is Jeffery Broughton Jr and I'm a class of 2020 defensive back that attends Appoquinimink High School in Middletown, Delaware. Thank you for taking the time to review my athletic profile, game film and accomplishments.
My desire to play football began at the early age of 4. I have played the sport faithfully at all levels and am looking forward to continuing my career at the collegiate level. I believe I deserve an opportunity to play in college due to my passion, dedication and total commitment to the sport. I love this game!
I am a driven & hungry student-athlete, born to grind regardless of any particular circumstance put before me. As a student-athlete on your team you would gain a born leader who is self motivated, humble and the ultimate competitor. Any coach that gives me the opportunity to play for them will never be disappointed in making the decision to have me in their program. In addition to being great on the field I am also very solid in the classroom.
I rely heavily on my faith and believe it gets me through all.
