Omari Banks is a solid class of 2021 point guard prospect that attends The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. 3 year varsity player, All Conference performer. Has played competitive AAU basketball for over 8 years. Spent 5 years playing with the WeR1(Delaware) AAU organization and last season he played with Role Model Elite (Delaware). Good size at 6'2 / 165 pounds. Athletic. Very high basketball IQ, crafty and can score the ball in a variety of ways. 2nd Team All conference selection in 2019-20 season; averaged 18 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. Great ball handler. Can finish in the lane with either hand and knows how to get to his spots on the floor. Excellent penetrator, very solid mid range pull up. Has the ability to consistently knock down the three point shot as well. Showcases very good quickness and uses change of speed and direction to really keep defenders off balance. See's the floor well and is a very effective passer. Plays unselfish and makes his teammates better. Solid defender who displays good foot speed and very active hands which enable him to create turnovers and fast break opportunities. Solid rebounder as a guard.
Omari has an excellent attitude and is a TEAM GUY. Leads vocally and by example. Coaches, teachers and administrators have only positive remarks in regards to his morals, character, work ethic and ability. Definitely a high character kid.
Academically Omari is an honor roll student and maintains a 3.2 GPA at one of the premier college preparatory private schools in the state; The Tatnall School. He displays the academic foundation, athletic ability, work ethic and basketball IQ that you would want to see in a college level prospect. Omari would be an asset for many college basketball programs. Certainly a 2021 point guard to have on your radar!

My name is Omari Banks and I am a Class of 2021 Point Guard, attending The Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware. My dream is to continue my basketball career at the collegiate level and I'm working extremely hard to make my dream a reality. I would love to begin to build a relationship with your program and hopefully be added to your 2021 recruiting board. I am a 3yr varsity starter and All Conference performer. Last year I averaged 18 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 2.5 steals. I am a true point guard who believes in making others better around me, along with playing solid lockdown defense.
