Scouting Report

Matthew Parker is an extremely talented class of 2023 quarterback that attends The Gilman School in Baltimore, Maryland. Great size at the age of 14; Matthew is 6’2 and 175lbs. Showcases solid mechanics and arm strength. Has excellent footwork and can make all of the throws. Throws from a good base, excellent 3 and 5 step drop. Very comfortable under center or in shotgun. Very accurate with rhythm throws and nice touch and ball placement on deep ball. Athletic with solid speed; can make plays with his arms or legs. Good pocket presence but also throws well on the run.

Matt entered high school this year (2019) and was named the starting varsity quarterback as a freshman which speaks to his abilities and work ethic. Natural leader who leads vocally and by example. Matt has received quality quarterback instruction for many years and works with his own personal quarterback coach throughout the year. Mentally and skill wise he is advanced for his young age. Very high football IQ and also is an excellent student. Hard worker, skilled and competitive.

Matt has all of the tools you look for in a young quarterback prospect and with continued growth and maturity he projects as a very solid 2023 quarterback prospect. Definitely an athlete that you want to track and have on your recruiting radars.
