Personal Message

Prospective Coaches,

My name is Christian Royer, I am a running back from Warwick High School and will be graduating in 2022. The athletic ability given to me from God is what put me in a position as a captain, role model, and a team player that my teammates look up to. I work hard at everything I do to be the best. When I was going into my seventh grade year I realized that I wanted to work harder to become the best athlete that I could be so I started waking up at 4:30 am to work out on my own. I also started working in the afternoons with a personal trainer. By the next season, I went from second string to having 12 touchdowns and 800+ yards in 8 games my seventh grade year.

Not only do I work hard for football, but academics are important to me as well. This year I have a 3.6 GPA. I am also a starter for our school’s basketball team. Last basketball season I played power forward and scored 80+ points, got countless rebounds, and was a force for our defense. I love football, but I have to be good at both sports I play.

My main sport is undoubtedly football. I just can't get over the feeling of knocking someone over or juking them so hard they fall. That get's me every time. After some work and a gift of speed I scored 23 touchdowns and more than 1000 yard rushing my eighth grade year. I'm always trying to improve my game for the love of the game. My goal is to play as long as possible and getting on a college team would help me keep playing. I'm a vocal leader on my team and want to get better every day. Being coachable is one of my favorite things about myself. I see guys all the time running because they didn't listen or weren't paying attention. If you tell me something it gets done the first time.

If I had to describe myself as a player and a person I'd say I'm crazy in a good way. I am not afraid to yell at my teammates if they aren't doing something right. It's not in a rude way though it's more like constructive criticism. During games it is talk talk talk talk talk from me and you can hear my energy from the sidelines. Before games I am the pregame hype and I will get the mindset for the game turned up. I have dreamed about playing college ball ever since I started playing the game. I sleep with my football every night. All I want is for all my parents’ money, my time, and effort to pay off when I get signed. That day would be the best day of my short life and I hope that you are interested in a Running Back with a high work ethic on and off the field.

Regards,

Christian Royer
