Coach's Evaluation

High School Coach Evaluation:

*St. Thomas More Academy HS Head Girls Basketball Coach Crystal Gordon*

"This letter is to serve as a letter of reference for Aniah Patterson a 5”5” point/combo guard at St.Thomas More Academy. Aniah is a four year varsity starter who has contributed in multiple roles for our team. A team that has been very successful due largely to Aniah. Aniah leads the team in assists, scoring, free throw attempts and makes. She is an 1000 points scorer as well as the third leader in rebounding on our team. She is persistent and devoted in her individual game as well as on the team. She has consistently worked hard each year to become a better defender. She has exceptional ball handling skills, more focused decision making and has developed into a accomplished jump shooter. She can get to the basket and draw contact. Aniah is our best scorer and free throw shooter at 86%.

Aniah has worked very hard to develop her understanding of the game. She pushes herself to learn, make adjustments, acquire new skills and study the game to contribute to the maturation of her basketball IQ. She has not only made strides on the court but in the classroom as well. Any obstacle she is faced with she manages to overcome. Character wise, she is a delight to have in the locker room. Aniah is one if the most supportive players I have ever encountered. She is very compassionate towards her teammates, a more consistent leader and continuously striving to take responsibility for anything that happens in her control. If given the opportunity to play for your team there a few things that I can guarantee: she will work hard, she will be loyal, kind and consistent, she will get it done in the classroom and when you need a bucket, free throw, or an assists she will get it done.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions and thanks for taking the time to invest in this young lady.

Personal Message

Prospective Coaches,

My name is Aniah Patterson and I'm a class of 2019 combo guard that attends St. Thomas More Academy in Delaware. I have dreams of playing at the collegiate level and appreciate any consideration for your basketball program. Thank you in advance for reviewing my athletic profile and game film!

I am a 4 year varsity starter who has improved every year that I have played. I have been an All Conference or All State Performer every year in high school and am a 1000 point scorer. This season I am currently averaging 17pts, 6 assists, 6 Rebounds and 4 steals per game *(Team leader in Points, Assists and Steals). Academically I maintain a 2.85 GPA and have a 990 SAT score.

Basketball is a passion for me and it has taught me so much about myself and life. I have gained confidence, built relationships, learned teamwork, communication skills, work ethic and the list goes on just from being involved in this great sport. I know I have what it takes to play at the next level and can be an asset for a college program.

I always give 100 percent effort and am that player who will dive for loose balls or provide that extra effort game deciding hustle play. I am a true team player and love to help the players around me get better as I get better myself. I love the game and playing basketball is my way of expressing myself. Basketball to me is like poetry and you have to be a good writer for people to have interest. I go out there and leave my words on the court as if i'm writing a book. I feel if given the opportunity to be thoroughly evaluated and honestly considered you will see I have the ability to play and be a solid addition to your college basketball program. Feel free to contact me anytime!

Sincerely,

Aniah Patterson
