Scouting Report

Gerald Jarmon III is an extremely talented and versatile class of 2020 Point Guard that attends Scotland Campus Prep Academy in Scotland, Pennsylvania. An extremely skilled 2020 prospect with high level ability. Jarmon is currently doing a prep year at Scotland Campus.

Jarmon is a play maker! He shoots the 3 pointer at a very high percentage, but also knows when to take a dribble and pull up to display his very efficient mid range shooting. Can score the ball in a variety of ways; great at finishing with both hands at the rim in traffic. Jarmon is also a very crafty ball handler with excellent court vision to compliment. Jarmon penetrates to the basket to create scoring options for himself and teammates, often displaying his great basketball IQ by making the right play more times than not!

Jarmon is a gym rat and comes from a long line of high collegiate level basketball players. He constantly works on his skill set or physical fitness to become better. The young man has great work ethic and his strength, explosive quickness, and motor are on display almost every time he touches the ball. Jarmon keeps the pressure on opponents on both ends of the court! He’s a great on the ball defender and also takes full advantage of playing the passing lanes.

Jarmon is a joy to watch, as he really is a complete player. He’s also a coaches dream, as far as character goes! The biggest concern for a coach is, do you want to play him at 1 or 2 guard!

Gerald Jarmon III would be an asset to many college basketball programs. For more information in regards to Gerald Jarmon’s collegiate recruitment please contact First State Preps of Pennsylvania Scouting Director Corey Dickerson at (717) 443-9417 (cell) / cdickerson@firststatepreps.com (email)

Personal Message

Dear Prospective College Coaches,

My name is Gerald Jarmon and I'm a class of 2020 point guard with dreams of playing at the collegiate level. For as long as I can remember, basketball has been my life. My grandfather played in college, my father played in college and then professionally overseas. I grew up with a basketball in my hand. The dream to play has driven my decision making from a young age. I began attending camps when I was 4 years old. I played for rec leagues until I was old enough to try out for AAU teams and then school teams.

As I learned the game, I also realized that being good was not good enough. I want more than that. I want to be the best. I learned that means I need to do what other people are not doing. I have made it my goal to be better than everyone around me. Every step of the way I have spent my free time in gyms or training sessions. I would go to YMCA or community center and play against guys that are bigger, older, and quicker and I push myself. Anytime I had a break between seasons, it just gave me more time to get back in the gym and improve myself. Every season I came back, bigger, stronger, quicker and more convinced than ever that no one could stop me, that I would be the greatest player on the court that season. In high school, I have continued to work hard in the classroom and on the court. I started Varsity as a Freshman and have remained a starter since. For my senior year I transferred to a prep school so I could continue to play with and against guys at a much higher level.

My goal has always been to play at the highest college level. I want to be able to continue my education and pursue my dream while making an impact on the court with my playmaking ability and the ability to make others around me better. I can score when needed and hit the open shots.

Basketball is not just something I do, it’s in my DNA. I’m passionate about the game and understand the work that needs to be put in and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make my dream a reality. I believe I could be a tremendous asset to your team and would love to be a part of your basketball family!

Thank you for any interest in me that you may have and please consider me as a part of your 2020 recruitment class!
