Maddie LaFrance is an extremely talented class of 2021 basketball prospect that attends Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bottom line, Maddie LaFrance is a flat out shooter! She has all of the tools in regards to ball handling, foot work and court vision that you would hope to see in a point guard, however her ability to shoot the ball at a high percentage from mid range or 3 point range makes her a very deadly combo guard. Maddie is a shooting guard that has the ability to also penetrate and finish. Personal Message

Dear Prospective Coaches:

My name is Maddie LaFrance and I am a shooting/point guard, part of the class of 2021 at Central Dauphin High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

I have played basketball since I was 5 years old. I fell in love with the game then and I have a much larger passion and love for the game today. I have worked extremely hard every year to build upon my skills and have a strong desire to improve each and every day. I have dreams of continuing to play the game I love at the highest college level. To make this a reality, I play and train year round. During any off time, I participate in 1:1 basketball training sessions and work out with a trainer multiple times a week to build up my strength, speed and agility.

In addition to my passion and love for the game, my desire to compete, be challenged, and to win is evident when I play and train for the game. I understand how important teamwork and team chemistry is to a team's overall success. Although basketball is a game, I have been able to build and develop leadership skills throughout the years by being named team captain, encouraging teammates, and being the floor leader. In tight games, my coaches often look to me to control the game in high pressure situations due to my vocal and leadership skills on the court. I have also have had the ability to create valuable long lasting friendships with teammates and coaches on every team. I have played organized basketball since first grade in local Harrisburg leagues, CYO, AAU, and High School. I played High School freshman basketball as a 7th grader and was a key contributor helping the team to 20-0 record. As one of two 8th graders on an all 9th grade team, I helped lead the freshman team to a 12-6 record averaging a team high 12.7 pts. I In my first three years on varsity, I have grown each year in every aspect of my game helping the CD Lady Rams achieve a 78% overall winning percentage (an overall record of 62 WINS and 18 LOSSES), and 1 Division Title (2019-20), 1 Commonwealth Championship (2019-20), and 2 Class 6A District III Championships (2017-18; 2019-20). After this upcoming and last AAU season, I am looking forward to repeating multiple championships and achieving a high level goal of a State Championship.

In the classroom, I have a 3.7 GPA and understand how important maintaining good grades are to obtain a great college education with the ability to play basketball. I will continue to put the same time and energy into my schoolwork. Thank you in advance for taking the time to review my profile and I look forward to becoming a potential 2021 recruit!

Sincerely,

Maddie LaFrance
