Scouting Report

Makayla Claggett is a 5’6” -135lb Combo Guard/Forward in the class of 2022 that attends Middletown Area High school in Middletown, Pennsylvania. All League performer who finished her junior year campaign averaging 17 points, 4 steals and 4 assists per contest.

Makaylas strengths are her quickness, basketball IQ, work ethic, and versatility . This attributes make her extremely difficult to be looked over.

She can be your point guard that creates opportunities for your post players or shooters by penetrating and finding the open teammates. She can also play the off guard position and score from all three levels. Very consistent catch and shooter from mid range or 3 point range. She is often asked to do this on her high school Team and on her AAU Team.

Even though she is a very dangerous offensive threat, the defensive side of the ball is where Makayla really sticks out. She is also a varsity soccer player as a freshman and she plays the defender position in her second sport. Makayla’s lateral quickness, foot work, excellent conditioning, and great instincts developed in soccer are often put on display on the basketball court. She always seems to find a way to come up with a rebound, steal or deflection.

Makayla is an excellent student with a 4.0 GPA, and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. She is a high character athlete who is totally committed to her athletics as well as her academics; she would be an asset for many college basketball programs.
