Matthew Haskell is a class of 2019, 6'4 / 290lb power forward/center that attends Providence Christian Academy in Elkton, Maryland. Very athletic for a kid his size, Matt displays agile feet, soft hands and a nice mid range and post game. Big, strong kid that has a solid overall skill set. Handles the ball well, excellent passer. High basketball IQ. Can score from the post or perimeter. Size and strength are his biggest assets. Big body in the paint, rebounds well and knows how to use his big frame to his advantage. Solid defender, active hands. Good lateral quickness for his size.
Matthew is a 4 yr varsity player and is team captain for his varsity team. Plays AAU for the Cecil County Wolfpack aau organization (18U). Averaged close to a double-double his junior year and should improve on those numbers his senior year. Very high character athlete who also is a staple in his church and community. Great leader, type of kid others follow and look up to. Hard worker. Very Coachable. Leads vocally and by example.

Personal Message
My name is Matthew Christian Haskell lll and I am a 6'4 /290lb center and power forward. I am currently a senior who attends Providence Christian Academy in Elkton Maryland and will graduate in the class of 2019. My goal is to play basketball at the collegiate level and would like to be considered for your 2019 recruiting class. I have been a 4 year varsity player, all conference performer who averaged close to a double-double my junior year. In addition to playing high school basketball, I play AAU basketball for the Cecil County Wolfpack in Elkton, Maryland and have played with the team for 5 years. While playing with the wolf pack, I unleashed the versatile player I knew I could always be. I have bettered myself in multiple areas such as seeing the floor, ball handling, finishing layups through harsh contact, passing, and shooting outside of my comfort zone. If given the opportunity, I know I can be an impact player and a great contributor to any program.
