Scouting Report

Anthony "AJ" Poppitti is a class of 2019 Quarterback prospect that attends St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, Delaware. He has an athletic 6'1/ 176lb frame. Solid arm strength, accurate and good ball placement especially on his long ball and intermediates. Decent athleticism and does well in spread and pro style sets. Solid 3 step and 5 step. Would classify him as more of a pro style QB but does have the athleticism to make plays on the perimeter via sprint outs, play action and zone read pulls. Very high IQ, hard worker and coachable. Competitive. Leads vocally and by example. High character kid that loves the game.

AJ has had to battle for playing time with another talented QB in the same grad class as him and has split time as a junior and will compete in same manner again his senior year. Film along with live in-person evaluation will benefit him due to splitting time. Skill and strength trains weekly. Strength training will continue to do him well as his body is still developing and filling out.

Strong academically with a 3.7 GPA taking all honors courses at a very demanding high academic private school. AJ has the ability to play at the collegiate level and would be an asset for many college football programs.

Personal Message

My name is Anthony "AJ" Poppiti and im a class of 2019 Quarterback that attends St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, Delaware. I have always wanted the chance to be able to play football at the college level. I have an excellent work ethic, good size, a high football IQ and can make all the throws. I am an honors student with a 3.7 GPA and would really appreciate the opportunity to be evaluated for consideration in your upcoming 2019 recruiting class.

Football has become a very important part of my life.I focus on football throughout the year and I do not lack determination when it comes to it. I feel like I have the mindset needed to play at the next level. I have never backed down from a challenge or have given up. I have a love for the game of football that helps push me and understand the game better. I also have the desire to continue to improve my game and work hard to achieve my goals.

I have been committed to football since I was in fourth grade. I also look at what football has taught me through the years. Most of the lessons I have dealt with in life have been courtesy of football. It has made me a tougher person, more respectful, a better leader, and has given me a place where I feel like I belong. I see myself having football in my life forever. I feel that I have the ability to compete and succeed at the next level. Football is not just a hobby or game to me; it is more like a way of life. Feel free to contact me anytime and hopefully I can visit your campus and perform for you in person sometime this spring / summer! Hope to hear from you or a member of your staff in the very near future!

Sincerely,

Anthony "AJ" Poppiti
