Kayla Guthrie is a solid 2020 soccer prospect(defender) that attends Lake Forest High school in Felton, Delaware. A great athlete who plays multiple sports; she is capable of playing a variety of positions on the soccer field. She brings toughness and heart to every training session and match and has been playing competitive club soccer for over 8 years. Kayla never backs down from a challenge whether it's going up for ball on a corner kick, challenging for a 50/50, attacking the goal with a goalkeeper closing down on her, or shutting down an opposing striker, she just plays with a lot guts. Has no problem sacrificing her body and is certainly not afraid of contact. Reads the field well in closing down space defensively and playing the ball into space or hitting her targets with her passing ability. Technically sound. She is a very positive person that is encouraging to her teammates, a vocal leader and welcoming to all and generally has a smile on her face. A dedicated player that gives the majority of her free time to bettering her soccer game. A tremendous student carrying a 3.75 GPA. Kayla Guthrie would be an asset for many college soccer programs.

Hello Coach, my name is Kayla Guthrie and I'm a class of 2020 soccer prospect (defender) that attends Lake Forest High School in Felton Delaware. I am an outgoing, energetic, athletic, strong willed and open minded young woman with dreams of continuing my education and athletic soccer career at the collegiate level. Thank you for taking the time to review my athletic profile to learn more about my athletic and academic accomplishments. I am a 2 year varsity starter and have been playing competitive travel soccer for the past 8 years. I currently play for the Bayshore Velocity Black soccer club which is located in Centreville, Maryland.
It is my goal to play at the college level and I am doing everything in my power to put myself in position to achieve this. I feel as though playing in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it would push me to become the best version of myself on and off the field. I play the game with a passion and am very vocal which has lead to me being named a team captain. I am also always looking to improve my game and take feedback & constructive criticism as a challenge to better myself. If there is one thing that all of my coaches have said about me is that I am a very coachable player and fast learner on and off the field.
