Scouting Report
Jon Alderman Jr. is a JUCO Outfielder/2nd Baseman looking for an opportunity to further his education while playing the sport of baseball that he loves. He graduated from Chantiily High School in 2017 with an Advanced Diploma and a 3.4 GPA. After graduating high school, he attended and played baseball at Ferrum College. After his freshman year he left due to a torn labrum that took 6 months to recover. In 2019 while he was rehabbing Jon enrolled in Northern Virginia Community College where he obtained his Associates Degree. He is currently enrolled and playing baseball at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.
Jon is solid athlete with a high baseball IQ. His resiliency to rehab his injury and comeback at a higher level are a testament to how dedicated and motived his work ethic is. His hustle is hard to compete with as he does all the little things on and off the field.
Hitting and Base Running:
Jon has gap to gap power and as a leadoff hitter he takes intense pride with having a high batting average and the ability to get on base. Combine his good speed with his ability to read and react to the during the game makes him a valuable threat on the bases. He can steal bases but can also stretch the routine hits with being able to get that extra base.
Defense:
Jon is good outfielder with the range to get to the ball quickly and efficiently. He possess a good arm strength with high accuracy. His vision and knowledge allow him to make the correct throw and play.
Jon would be a great addition to any team at the collegiate level.
